We believe in a diverse range of people to bring creative skills, thoughts, and ideas to the table. This is evident in our entire team at Waves from the leadership, to the people greeting you each week, and everyone in-between.
The leadership at Waves of Faith will not be based on, or built around, one person or personality. We will be led by an Elder Leadership Team that leads by example and is willing to check their ego at the door and is committed to living heroically in every area of their lives no matter what the cost. Combined they have several years of experience and success in creating, launching and leading new ventures, both as pastors and as entrepreneurs.
In our opinion there needs to be a paradigm shift in how leaders lead. This is what it will look like at Waves:
Our leadership won’t be “pastors serving the congregation” but rather “pastors equipping the congregation to serve”. We want people to move from “learning about Jesus” to “learning to live on mission for Jesus”. We won’t provide “service programs and events” but will “expose need and people engaging need”. And lastly we will not try to “motivate people to grow spiritually” but want people to “take initiative for their own personal growth”.
